April 15 | 5:30AM – 7:30AM | Annual Midwest Crane Count

Each year, over 1,800 volunteers travel to their local wetlands and favorite birding locations to participate in the Annual Midwest Crane Count. Email Aszya Summers at aszya.summers@gmail.com to RSVP or for more information!

 

April 22 | 10AM – 4PM | Zoorific Saturday

Bring the whole family for a Zoorific Saturday! Enjoy fun giveaways, crafts, and games at Racine Zoo all day long! Stop by tables with Zoo staff ready to educate and inspire guests to become stewards of the environment. FREE with admission to the Zoo!

 

April 22 – 23 | 10AM – 4PM | Upcycle Drive

We have partnered with Milwaukee Textile Recycling to collect shirts, blouses, suits, skirts, pants, shorts, dresses, jackets, coats, warm-ups, underwear, bras, slips, pajamas, paired socks, paired shoes, sheets, bedspreads, blankets, curtains, drapes, towels, and washcloths to be donated and recycled during the day at Racine Zoo. Please put all items in plastic bags. Donations will be provided to low-income families or repurposed. Drop-off bins located at the Zoo.

April 29 | 8:30AM – 10:30AM | Beach Cleanup at Zoo Beach

Help keep Lake Michigan beautiful! Join Racine Zoo staff and volunteers for a beach clean up. As part of a partnership with the Alliance for the Great Lakes, the Zoo will be removing trash from Zoo Beach, and reporting their findings as part of a citizen science research project. Rain or shine. Located at the end of the Zoo Beach staircase by the trail and next to the beach. If you’d like to join us, RSVP here: https://bit.ly/3zuW4yC

Year round during Zoo hours | Eco-Cell Device Recycling

We've partnered with Eco-Cell to collect old devices such as cell phones, music players, tablets, and chargers to be recycled. Drop-off box located in the Zoo gift shop.
