Despite these uncertain times, good things are happening in the Racine Zoo community. We continue to stay resilient and relish what is most important—taking care of the animals and each other.
We've closed out gates to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19, but our team continues to work tirelessly to care for our animals. Animal care staff and our veterinary team remain on-site and continue to maintain the exceptional care we provide every day of the year, while practicing social distancing and disinfecting methods to keep everyone healthy.
The Zoo heavily relies on ticket sales, memberships, programs, events, sponsorships and donations to operate. Since no guests are allowed to visit campus, events and programs have been postponed resulting in a huge loss of revenue. However, the Zoo cannot simply stop functioning. The health and safety of the staff and animals is of utmost importance. There has never been a time when your support has been more critical.
By supporting the Racine Zoo's Emergency Fund, you'll help our animals in the following ways:
- Daily care - our animals continue to receive enrichment and training to keep them active and healthy
- Veterinary care - our vet team continues to provide our animals with check-ups and medical procedures, which comes with a high price tag!
- Nutrition - our animal care team continues to prepare and deliver meals for our 75+ species of animals that call Racine Zoo home
The Zoo is extending all existing memberships (those that were active as of March 14—the day the Zoo closed due to the COVID-19) and new memberships so that you can enjoy your full year of benefits. We love our Members and thank them for their loyal support.
During this difficult time, please consider donating or purchasing/renewing your membership below as a way to support (and enjoy!) the Racine Zoo. We've been around for 97 years and we aren't going away any time soon because of our incredibly supportive community!

Exercise is still important for staying healthy. Hopefully you're finding a way to stay active while staying home, just like Gumby our Laughing Kookaburra!
Who doesn't love to pop bubbles?? Pierre the emperor tamarin is enjoying some bubble time. Novel play activities like this keep our animals active while also stimulating them mentally!
Lemonhead the Straw-colored Fruit Bat hopes you're enjoying plenty of fresh fruit and staying healthy just like he is! He absolutely LOVES his breakfast fruit bowl!
